did you check that no other application is using microphone or speakers? Any exception in logs/peers.log? Could you run the following test:
- install peers in two directories on your computer,
- keep an empty password in conf/peers.xml for both instances and put captureAndPlayback in media for one instance and echo for the other one,
- start both clients
- look at logs/peers.log in one of the instances to find the corresponding sip port
- call this instance from the other one using sip:ipaddress:port
In theory, you should here your own voice if everything is configured correctly.
If you still have issues, or in any case, can you attach peers.log and transport.log from logs directory?

thanks, this problem was in my audio settings (OS ubuntu). but now sound from softphone to my phone comes in spurts, one second it sounds, last no
