In the current FOAF spec (11/5/03) there is no standardized
way for a document (foaf.rdf) to define "who" it's talking
about. Each foaf:person entry has the potential to be who is
being talked about. Ways have been worked on to get
around this (like the Topic finder: http://xml.mfd-consult.dk/
foaf/IFP/) but that's all still guess work. We need a section
in the FOAF standard that says "this foaf:person made this
document".

After that, our FOAF intake will become much easier. We
can simply look for those few triples, and if a document
doesn't have them we bring up a warning dialog saying
"sorry, but this document isn't quite up to the standard, you'll
have to help me out" and present a list of people in the
document for the user to choose from.
