Issues with arc format
The way to handle links is now available as option in the Advanced tab of archive creation screen. In the options group on the right you can find the checkbox to save symbolic links as links (default on) and to save hard links as links (default off).
PeaZip can't handle symbolic links
Program's error reporting it is not based in setting an exitcode when closing, rather there are specific interactive, human readable error messages (and logs if applicable) for each operation performed in the GUI. I could consider in adding exitcodes to single purpose functions (like the one triggered by the switch), where the program is expected to run a single task and exit.
Ok. What about exit code of (linux) Peazip program ? Always = 0 ? Regards.
It was a legacy switch, no longer supported, I'll update documentation accordingly in the next release. It was an internal method used to test correctness of a password for the input archive, now superseded by a more efficient routine, and it was also made available as CLI switch.
What does peazip command line option -ext2openpwtest do ?
Thank you for reporting the issue. I've now fixed it for next release.
Window height grows automatically with Menu bar disabled
Thank you for reporting the issue. It will be fixed in the next release.
Rename "Delete characters at specified position"
for ZpaqFranz, add -longpath by default while extracting so that it wont cause issues

..in case this is useful..
Dragging file from peazip window shows progress to completion but doesn't work
Same issue here, this bug has been present for a while (since I first installed it around 2yrs ago) and still present on current version 10.8.0 Bug happens on all RAR files I've tried (about 8 different ones). OSX Monterey 12.7.6 PeaZip also has full disk access in OSX security settings.
Thanks for your good work! PeaZip is very fine.
Thank you for the feedback. I've found a bug in the zip comment check procedure, that can cause the archive to remain locked in some cases, which is what it is preventing modifications to archive as in the reported issue. It will be fixed in the next update.
After completely uninstalling Peazip and installing again, I extracted the TEST.zip file and zipped it again getting" TEST - 1.zip". I did 3 testing with it: 1. rename and delete in TEST - 1.zip were successful as you suggested 2. the drag and drop of the same initial TEST.zip file in the TEST - 1.zip was without issue 3. repeating a rename ended with an error and 3 files TEST - 1.zip, TEST - 1.zip.tmp, TEST - 1.zip.tmp1
Is the attached profile enough to describe the settings? I have installed Peazip a few days ago without changing any settings (as I remember...) so only after the problem appeared I tried to change some settings...
Extracting the test zip file and zipping the content again with PeaZip (default settings), results in archive which can be updated (delete or rename) without issues. Can you point me to settings used in producing the TEST.zip file?
Strange things happen renaming or deleting zip file content
Feature Request: Add DwarFS compression and extraction support
Thank you for reporting the issue, I'm working on a fix for the next update.

WINGET not showing 10.8.0, still on 10.7.0
Excellent, thank you! 🙏
Winget manifest for PeaZip was updated, it should soon show the new release.
Thank you.
Winget packages repository has its own community on GitHub https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs/tree/master which usually does a great job in keeping winget updated with newer software releases. I'll check if they need an help in updating the listing for PeaZip.
Still stuck on 10.7.0 Any word?
