Here is the patch version of the code available on
http://www.artworxinn.com/alex/pearpcsnd.tar.gz
Kudos to Dean.
Included are a diff of the HEAD branch, and a tar of
all added files. This compiles on Linux.
Sound is very choppy, natch. THis is pre-alpha, obviously.
Hack away.

portaudio-18.1 is necessary to compile this.
I do not include Dean's changes to portaudio.
I will happily do so if asked.

Wasn't the patch for portaudio just so that it would build
with -mno-cygwin?

If you have an ASIO supported soundcard, you may be able to
get this sound driver to go realtime, getting rid of the
choppiness. While you are compiling the sound driver using
Portaudio, check out this page
http://www.portaudio.com/docs/pa_tut_asio.html for the
process to add ASIO support into the audio driver. My
Audigy supports it but I am having difficulty locating OSX
SDKs from Creative Labs - can anyone find them? Matt -
