#1 growin gui

At starting up (G4/Panther/MacPython 2.3) the GUI starts
growing and growing and growing.... Doesn't stop.

After banning some kind of "react on resize"-type
instruction, it ran, expectedly only on some 340x220. Then,
trying to plot a simple file resulted in displaying everything
exept the data points (2D and 3D).

Autoscale resulted in the range 1:1,which produced a
warning.
