PeaExtractor 1.1 [simple RAR, ZIP file extractor]

PeaExtractor 1.1 was published today, with minor fixes, improved file selection dialog, and more compact installation and portable packages.

PeaExtractor is a very simple unrar / untar / unzip utility, providing a minimal, wizard-based GUI focused only on extraction of archive files in the most streamlined and straightforward way.

The application is meant for novice user with no prior experience of working with archives, and for users simply needing to perform decompression and not needing advanced archive management features (explore, in-archive search, create and convert archives) as available in more complete and complex archival software as 7-Zip, PeaZip, Winrar, and WinZip.

Free for any use and Open Source (LGPLv3), PeaExtractor manage over 150 archive formats - including 7Z, ACE, BZ2, CAB, DMG, GZ, ISO, PAQ, RAR, TAR, WIM, ZIP files - handle spanned multi-volume archives (001, R01, Z01), and decrypt many types of password protected archives: 7Z, ARC, PEA, RAR, ZIP (ZipCrypto, PKZip AES-based encryption, WinZip's AE), and ZIPX.
