A new release of pdsh is available for download on googlecode:
This version fixes a couple issues, adds support for Torque/PBS
(Thanks to Mattias Slabanja), and adds an extensive new pdsh
Most notably, there have been some additions to the syntax for
-w and -x (borrowed from the xCAT suite). For instance, you
can now directly include hosts from files in -w/x, exclude
hosts in -w, and filter hosts via regular expressions, e.g.:
pdsh -w foo[0-10],/0$/ # Target foo[0,10] (regex matching)
pdsh -w foo[0-10],-/0$/ # Target foo[1-9] (regex exclusion)
pdsh -w ^wcoll # Read hosts from file "wcoll"
pdsh -w ^A,^B # Read hosts from files A and B
The filtering (regex) and exclusion ('-' or -x) are applied after
all module wcoll operations, so you can filter target nodes supplied
by genders, dshgroups, netgroups, etc., e.g.:
pdsh -g compute -w /node1.*/ # Run on node1 node[10-19] node[100-199], ..
* Changes in pdsh-2.23 (2010-10-22)
-- Fix issue 4: List available but conflicting modules in -V and -L output.
-- Fix issue 5: dshbak -c doesn't properly coalesce hosts with different
zero-padding in the numeric suffix.
-- Added torque module for setting list of target hosts based on Torque/PBS
jobs (Issue 2).
-- Enhance syntax of -w and -x to allow preceeding arguments with:
`-' - Exclude hosts instead of include with -w ( -w foo[1-9],-foo8)
`^' - insert/exclude list of hosts from a file (^/path/to/file)
`/' - filter hosts based on regex (/host.*0$/)
-- Introduce new pdsh testsuite with many new tests. See tests/README
for more information.
