The new threadloop comment feature appears to
have problems on cygwin 1.7.9 running on winXP:

$ perl t/inline-comment-test.t
1..3
Inline Version: 0.46
ok 1 - Everything seems to have compiled
ok 2 - Sanity check runs correctly
not ok 3 - commenting out a threadloop does not work
# Failed test 'commenting out a threadloop does not work'
# at t/inline-comment-test.t line 51.
# $a is

# [0 1 2]
# [3 4 5]

# and $b is

# [7 8 9]

# Looks like you failed 1 test of 3.

Short answer: this should be marked as a TODO.

Long answer: I found a wart in how PDL::PP handles certain text input by the user. I documented this wart (page 188 of the git version of the PDL book) and I added this test to ensure that the wart is indeed present. In particular, if anybody ever takes on this wart and tries to solve it properly, they should update that text in the PDL book. Perhaps I should explain this in the test. Also, if this wart ever disappears when somebody is not trying to solve this issue, they almost certainly broke something, so this test would be helpful. However, this wart should be cross-platform because it is based on standard Perl regular expressions: it should either be present on all platforms, or none at all.

But that's just the issue! Cygwin does not appear to suffer this wart while all other platforms do! I do not understand how that is possible, and it will require further investigation. Any help is appreciated, but I'll assign this to myself for now.

    Bug fixed in Git.
    Thanks for reporting the problem!

The test has been marked TODO so the test suite now passes on cygwin 1.7.9.
