#268 PLplot still unusable with X

PLplot on X86-64 with a bone-stock Fedora installation and Perl 5.12.2 and the latest git hangs and crashes the whole Perl process on closure of an X window.

Following the example here:

yields expected results (although the X window creates is HUUGE) until the plend() call, which hangs. Closing the plot window causes Perl to exit to the UNIX shell.

Though it is not perhaps very intuitive, after you call plend() you need to click on the plot and then press the return key. Also, I believe that the problem with PLplot crashing when you closed the X window (by clicking on the X) has been fixed as of PLplot 5.9.8.

Setting priority to Medium and possible for inclusion in the next PDL release.
