Welcome to PDKB-MELD, a list for the open source PDKB project.

This is a beginning message to discuss what this mailing list is about.
simply put, This is about creating a MELD system to support the PDKB
work. It is intened to be a working list as contrast to
pd...@ld... which is a discussion list.

MELD is described on the web site. 
I have a meld.y, meld.l, and makefile on the projects' ftp site,
but all it does is a syntax check of its input for valid MELD syntax.

We need to get that program to be smarter.

It needs to read several file inputs, that I know of.
1) a semantics kb that is always a part of every MELD KB
2) a 'current kb' saying what is known right now.
3) an input kb that is checked against the semantics KB.

For now, I'm ignoring the second two.

Is this note clear? or do I need to explain 
motivations?
