#3 umlaut search

I like pdfsearch pretty much as it's (quite) fast for a
full text search and the output is easily parsealbe.

But nonetheless I don't manage to search for strings
containing german Umlauts:

e.g.: "straße"

How can I do this? Any suggestions?
