Subject: PDFEdit Ubuntu package
I just saw PDFedit appear on kde-apps.org today and began to package it.
I managed to build a package without any big issues, but I've got a
issue preventing me from getting it in Ubuntu: there is no copyright
anywhere. GPLed programs need a copyright in the form of "Author/Team (C)
2006, 2007". It would also be good to provide a COPYING file in the root of
the tarball (although you have doc/LICENCE.GPL already) and a copyright
header in each source file (as stated on the GNU website ).
Technically speaking now, I had to build the package with "make
QTDIR=/usr/include/qt3" on Ubuntu as there is no --qtdir or --with-qtdir
option in the configure file to set it and the qsa_check.
I hope to hear from you soon, so we can get this great program in the next
version of Ubuntu/Kubuntu.
Thank you for this great project, and keep up the good work guys!
