News Is Out! CAON Launches R&D Program to Further Production! Chan-On International Inc. Symbol: CAON Friday Close: $0.72 UP 4.35% Read the news. This company is pulling no punches. They has engaged one of the countries top R&D facilities to expand their technology. Get on CAON today! Referring back to my previous rambling it is important to realize that this asynchrony is a client-side only asynchrony. That's why patterns for object-oriented applications are different from patterns for asynchronous messaging. Frank Leymann, one of the co-creators of BPEL, invited me to speak on SOA from a developer perspective. All Purpose Fields This option's must be a close contender to "screen scraping" in the categories of wide-spread use and disdain. They use predictive algorithms to try to minimize surprises. All types of asynchrony have their place but are very different. Once again there is no free lunch. My favorite quote: "It takes technical and management people time to find the right level of communication where they can understand each other. You then might have to attach any necessary security certificates and finally serialize everything into a data stream. Therefore, it makes a lot more sense to think about the interaction between the systems as an exchange of messages. A fast paced first-person shooter game like Halo cannot afford to allow significant of latency between machines. Indigo is all about messaging. A big bonus: all the content is available under the Creative Commons license, pioneered by Larry Lessig, not some obscure Microsoft EULA. Ward has been very active in creating PatternShare, a forum for patterns. Hey, even Starbucks figured that out! Once the extender control is placed on a form, other controls on the same form show a new property in the property window. Interestingly the same viewpoints apply to the notion of transactions. Unfortunately, there aren't really any execution environments for them outside of the academic world. As such they allow us to transfer knowledge and experience gained in one area to another area or another level of abstraction. Referring back to my previous rambling it is important to realize that this asynchrony is a client-side only asynchrony. My favorite quote: "It takes technical and management people time to find the right level of communication where they can understand each other. On the other hand, a little more dynamic never hurts any panel. Patterns do, however, depend on the underlying programming model. She was really asking for it to the extend that one wondered whether it was a setup. It also provides a nice programming model that supports both an RPC as well as a message-oriented view of the interaction between a service provider and service consumer. This allows the addition of properly named and typed fields to be associated with a customer. This type of processing is commonly implemented in most Service Activators because it provides efficient use of resources and good throughput. Interaction patterns enjoy a wide range of applicability as well, particularly in the world of event-driven applications and message-based integration. He reminds us to focus on user-centric design and to remember that in the software world "Users do not equal customers". Will the Real Asynchrony Please Stand Up? Another talk focused on comparing the semantics od EPC and Petri nets and the like. No interruptions like phone calls, e-mail etc. This is a bigger topic than fits into this rambling but here is my quick summary. The highlight of the talk was certainly Alef Arendsen of Spring fame confirming that SOA in Dutch means as much as STD. You get to network with your buddies and during the sessions you finally have time to get some actual work done! Death March often ensues because management puts the technical people under pressure to solve problems that are really management problems. Using HTTP is still not asynchronous from the viewpoint of a single message, i. Likewise if I am shot at I want to be able to see the fire so I can duck or run. Likewise if I am shot at I want to be able to see the fire so I can duck or run. Still it is a nicer programming model than the old BeginFoo and EndFoo methods. Billy Hollis on Declarative UI Development Billy gave a nice talk on smart client development and how to use a more declarative programming style to deal with items such as validation. Ted Neward on Design Patterns Ted hosted a very interactive session on design patterns. Effectiveness trap": They try to build as many features as possible forgetting that features really don't matter. Therefore, it makes a lot more sense to think about the interaction between the systems as an exchange of messages. Some of my conference weeks are actually the most productive. Alan also distinguishes very clearly between Design Engineers, who want to do it right, and Programmers, who want to ship. The more reliable you want your system to be the more latency you need to be able to accommodate. Ward has been very active in creating PatternShare, a forum for patterns. The apparent trade-off is that the retransmission takes time. We have XSLT for document transformations, XPATH and XQuery to extract data from XML documents; we use rules engines that are based on new languages and use BPEL for orchestrations. Nothing like coming home with money left in your pocket. All types of asynchrony have their place but are very different. This type of processing is commonly implemented in most Service Activators because it provides efficient use of resources and good throughput. Once the foreground task is completed, the foreground task checks whether the background task is done or not. The only difference is in the order because the caller typically sends a message first and receives a message later, while the callee receives a message first and sends a message afterwards. My favorite feature of the conference is that each attendee receives a USB Flash drive with all the presentation material on it. He suggests that there are only two levels: the concrete level and the other level. Net platform the client proxy generates three methods for every operation listed in the WSDL document. |

You want to use PDDocument doc =3D PDDocument.load( "E:/TestFolder/File.pdf" ); The RandomAccessFile is the temp file used to store parsed objects, =20 not to read the PDF. Hello list, I have extended the "TextStripper" class to get the bounding box of any string in the pdf. However, some strings in my pdf's are rotated. Now I need to know how to extract the information about the rotation from the pdf. I think the values 0,1 and 0,2 from the text matrix contain this information about, but when I call the method "getTextMatrix" from the "PdfStreamEngine" to get this values, I only get "error: null" in my error-console (Eclipse). Is there any other way to get this information? Thank you! --------------------------------- Yahoo! Clever: Stellen Sie Fragen und finden Sie Antworten. Teilen Sie Ihr Wissen. |
