#11 Installation on windows 7 is incomplete

I have downloaded the file 'PdfBookShuffler 2.3.3 Setup.exe' on my machine that runs Windows 7 (SP1, 64bit), using all default choices. This means that stuff gets installed in 'C:\Util\PdfBookShuffler'. When I run the installed program from the link that is placed on my desktop, I get the message

See the logfile 'C:\Util\PdfBookShuffler\pdfBooklet.exe.log' for details

The logfile contains the following text:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "pdfbooklet.py", line 3743, in <module> File "pdfbooklet.py", line 3652, in main WindowsError: [Error 5] Access is denied: u'C:\\Util\\PdfBookShuffler\\tempfiles'
I would expect the installer to arrange for the appropriate access permissions to be installed, or an error message to be created that contains specific instructions to users how to set the appropriate permissions.

I have exactly the same computer configuration than yours: Windows 7 SP1 64 bits and PdfBooklet 2.3.3 installed on C:\Util\PdfBookShuffler.

Everything works perfectly, without any errors. The installer of PdfBooklet has properly been designed so as not to encounter any access permissions problems (that is the reason for which PdfBooklet is not installed under C:\Program Files (x86) forlder).

You may have some particular access permissions settings on your C:\ disc drive which prevents PdfBooklet from working properly. As a workaround solution you could install PdfBooklet on D:\ disc drive (if you have one).

I don't know the reason for the problem you encountered. Nevertheless, to avoid such difficulties, PdfBooklet 3.0.4 no longer uses this tempfiles directory. But you may still have problems when the program tries to save data to the pdfbooklet.cfg file. In case it happens, please, tell us.
