hi, i have successfully synced pdesk (don't know which
version, but it's very recent) with pda on windowsXP
and really appreciate the desktop companion to progect
(THANKS!).

unrelated to pdesk, computer was sluggish, so i forced a
shutdown despite pdesk, openoffice and firefox being open.
now when i launch pdesk, i get this message:

"The last session didn't end normally. Please mail the
file "pdesk.log" to pdesk@alawa.ch You'll find it in your
PDesk installation directory. Be sure to check it first
(it's a text file) to be sure there are no confidential
information in it"

and the program will not launch. am thinking i should
uninstall and reinstall it.

thank you,

Well, there must be something else wrong if it does not
start up, it will tell you that there was a problem last
    time, and then start.

What probably happened is that the last project file you
opened became corrupted, or perhaps that the preferences
    file has become corrupt.

What you should do to start is delete the prefs.prefs file.

If that does not help, then a uninstall and reinstall should
fix it so long as you delete all the files in the PDesk
directory that was created in 'Program Files'.
