Hey guys, here is the plugin i changes. I didn't bother to make a patch
since the changes were to big.
After this i want to look into adding support for ISO into this plugin, so i
don't have to change back and forth between plugins.
I'm also interested in looking into the XVideo driver, changing it to SDL,
so i can avoid problems like this one i'm having now:
RGB mode found. id: 41424752, depth: 32
Warning: Depth does not match screen depth (24)
Acceptable RGB mode not found. Using YUV.
I dont think it's a very good idea to use ALSA and X directly as many
plugins do, it's often so much easier to work with SDL or some other layer,
and from my experience, alot less bugs.
And last, i definitely want to take a look the opengl plugin. I dont know
how complete and well it is working for you guys, but when i tried it, it
was horrendous. It was really really slow, the rendered images were placed
only in the botton left corner, leaving 3/4.
And then it segfaults.
I'm definitely interested in becoming a developer on this project.
I wasn't allowed to send a zip attachment, so i'll give you a link instead:

There seems to be very little activity in the forum so i thought i'd
add a reply here as well.
I've finished the changes to DFBinimage now.
The forum message:
I've finished everything now. Oggs work fine. The config window
support ripping and cropping off CDDA data.
Combined with *.bz compression i got Wipeout down from 577 MiB to 82
MiB, without noticeable loss of quality.
The changes are extensive, so i won't bother with a diff.
here are all the files i use. Naturally it now also requires vorbis,
SDL audio and GTK+
