The developement of pcstoolkit has ceased. I use Struts with Stxx (hosted on sf.net) personally to have an web app framework supporting MVC and XML/XSLT.
If someone is interested in taking over this project let me know!

Hello everyone,

here it comes: the beta version of pcstoolkit. There have been some major improvements, e.g. Actions are out - Services are in. Furthermore, configuration is now based on one single xml file. see changelog for details and have fun with the new version!

At the moment, I've got a running pre beta version at my local computer. Although it look likes the alpha version, internally changed a lot: Not actions will be central point any longer, but services. A service consists of three main parts:
- An Action (the thing known from pcstoolkit1.0a)
- A XSL file (to render XML to HTML)
- An AuthorizationChecker (big to do)
By that, Actions and XSL files can be reused much easier than before since you can build new services by combining existing actions and XSL.

A new general discussion forum is availabe. There you can add comments, suggestions, provide feedback and discuss anything dealing with pcstoolkit and pcsfw.

If you've got feature request or bug reports, please use the appropiate tools provided by Sourceforge.

Here are short overview of the release plans for pcstoolkit:
Currently there's release 1.0a available. It's an alpha release you can use to get an impression of pcstoolkit.
Release 1.0b will follow which will be a candidate for final release. After testing and reviewing this release, and surely sume debugging the final release will come. The beta release should be quite stable and there should not be any major changes in the API or object modell until the final release.... read more

The first release of pcstoolkit is available for download. The release is packaged as a war file (pcstoolkit_war) to make install easy. Install instructions can be found at http://pcstoolkit.sourceforge.net/pcsfw/install.html. If you just want to use the class library refer to pcstoolkit_lib.
