I would like to see a cardctl command that makes it
walk through all available schemes (possibly limited
by some connditions) and tries to find a working one.
The distinction of whether a scheme is working is the
difficult part, as it would depend on the interface
being configured etc. Maybe each scheme could be given
a (user-defined?) script that tests whether the scheme
is in use and which cardctl can call.
This would be useful for finding wireless networks if
one has access to many and wants a simple way to find
the one in use in the current location. It would also
be nice for booting a system into whatever network
configuration is required in the current location.
