    Greetings,

    According to PCMCIA-CS document, Card Services require five memory and two I/O windows per socket. I have a question that ...

    "Will Card Services work with only 'one' memory and 'one' I/O window per socket?" i.e.

    #define MAX_WIN         1
    #define MAX_IO_WIN     1

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers

      Card Services doesn't really require five memory and two IO windows per socket.  You'll have problems with just one memory and one IO window, however, depending on exactly what you mean by "one".  Card Services expects to have one memory window that it can use internally for accessing a card's CIS information and registers.  Also, some cards require configuration of two IO port windows.

      Currently supported socket controllers either provide multiple memory and IO windows, or map the entire PCMCIA memory and IO spaces into the host address space.
