Someone submitted a feature request to show transfer speed when moving or copying files 7 years ago or so and it was apparently implemented, but maybe not as originally intended.
Currently, when files are copied and moved, what is shown is the progress percent and the time remaining shows. It doesn't show the amount of files to be transferred and/or are transferring and it doesn't show transfer rate (e.g. 80 Mb/s).
Without these types of information, it is impossible to gauge how fast files are being written to disk.

It will be a very useful feature. When i not see the transfer speed my first thought is only a config issue or something like that, but sadly i not found anything.
Yes, this would be a great help. Something similar to IgnorantGuru's mod should be easy to add:

Please add it ASAP or write a brief how to for us to display a stats line similar to above link. Time remaining/ETA is already there, maybe just add to it "(current speed 42.3 MB/s)".
Also please look at Win10 example, they did a nice job with graph-chart instead of a progress bar, and providing coherent info for multiple file copy/move. This is an important features I miss very much. Thank you.
