    and how about make all the keyboard shortcuts can be customized?

    I want backspace to be "back" (same as alt-left).
    This behavior is standard conform to browsers, other file managers (like nautilus, windows explorer, and other).

    Of course the best would be to make is customizable :P

    Maybe you can implement the alternative backspace behavior first (additionally to the "alt-left" behavior), and in a later release the customization. That would be great, because without I simply can't use this great FM.

    backspace is now used for "go to parent" folder.
    This is used by KDE and Windows, so we use it, too.
