I'm using PCManFM 1.1.2 and on Tools -> "Find Files" I'm missing an option to search only for files, directories, symlinks or any combination of these. Maybe such a feature would fit as an own checkbox group in the "File Type" register. At default all 3 could be selected (as it is currently implicit done).

I've added checkbox for directories to list of types for search. Unfortunately "files" and "symlinks" are not so easy to add because those fall into other categories as well (symlinks may be files and may be directories, their targets at least). Also search for non-directories while recursive search is enabled is ambiguous. And also each file type (pipes, char devices, etc.) should be added then, and that is too much.
If search for directories is not enough then we can schedule that for 1.3 and discuss how it can be done. We are about to freeze 1.2 so we have no time to discuss, I'm sorry.

I was more thinking about to search directly for symlinks and not to follow them.

Yes, I understand that but what I meant it will conflict with other options and that will create ambiguous behavior you know.

So if option to search for directories is enough then change this request to closed, and if not then change group to 1.3, please, so we can schedule it for next release.

    Thank you very much.

1.3 is fine so we can think more detailed about this.
