I'm using PCManFM 1.1.2 and after cleaning ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/ from over 100 desktop-items-0.conf* files I'm noticing that after a logout the file ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/desktop-items-0.conf is created but it is empty. It looks like it makes no difference if the file is empty or non-existent. If this is true maybe PCManFM can prevent writing this file to disk if it is empty.

The PCManFM 1.2.0 will never have desktop-items-0.conf file empty because 1.2.0 version saves desktop settings for each monitor separatedly therefore it saves desktop-specific settings in that file.
    Thank you very much.
