No

The side pane has two buttons to toogle its mode:
"Location" and "Directory tree". I would like
to be able to hide these since I only need the
tree mode and the steal attention and space.

Regards, Sebastian

SP: Great work you are doing here! Linux is
really missing an "Explorer".

    Currently, I don't want to add too much options in order
    to keep the user interface clean.
    However, since this is a free software, you can always
    modify its source code. :)
    1. Find src/ptk/ptk-file-browser.c in the source tarball.
    2. In that file, find this line:
    "static void ptk_file_browser_create_side_pane(
    PtkFileBrowser* file_browser )".
    3. Then, you can find following code in that function:
    gtk_box_pack_start( GTK_BOX( file_browser->side_pane ),
    toolbar, FALSE, FALSE, 0 );
    4. Add this line following the code you found in step 3:
    gtk_widget_destroy( toolbar );
    5. Recompile the program, and you got no buttons in side
    pane.
    Cheers!
