open a gtk application, firefox works -> open a open/save dialog -> In the right column I see the bookmarks box
-> choose a regular file (not a directory) -> bookmark this one dragging it into that box
-> open pcmanfm -> click on the new bookmark -> "The specified directory is not valid" dialog -> crash
-> open pcmanfm -> f4 to open a terminal -> lxterminal crashes istantly

Could you give more detailed description about that 'bookmark box'? I don't have any such box in open/save dialog neither in Firefox, in Midori (which is another GTK browser), nor any other GTK application that has open/save dialog. What window manager and GTK version do you use?

I integrated patch #3528712 and rewrite part of the code to fix it.
The issue should be fixed now. Please test the latest source code in git if you can.
If the bug still exists, please re-open the bug.
    Thanks a lot.
