No

Debian sid, libgtk2.0 2.24.3, libglib2.0 2.28.4
menu-cache, libfm and pcmanfm from git in April 5 2011

The home folder in the side panel doesn't show the username. When clicking on it pcmanfm opens the home folder whith a / appended to the address and the tab with no title. Then clicking on the 'up' icon (go to parent folder) still leaves it in the home folder, only the / is removed from the address and the username (folder name, actually) is shown on the tab.

I noticed also that sometimes pcmanfm shows double slashes in the address end (//) and sometimes not.

This seems to be fixed with the latest libfm from git.

Now this is strange. I assumed it was working because I created a new user and pcmanfm works properly in this respect with this new user but with both users I already had here this bug is still present.
Even renaming ~/.config/libfm and ~/.config/pcmanfm (so as to these directories be recreated) didn't make any difference.
I'll keep testing all hypotheses to find out what may be causing this behaviour.

Every new user I add to the system has pcmanfm working well, without the bug reported here.
I even deleted one of the previous users that had this problem appearing in pcmanfm, kept its home folder, added the user again and pcmanfm's problem was gone.
And it apparently has nothing to do with the contents of any configuration file because I removed almost every configuration file of another user having this problem and the problem persisted.

So in my uneducated guessing it looks like it could be some permissions problem. For some reason the first two users in this system had this problem but the new ones don't. Since I'm yet to understand how to set the default permissions for any user in Debian it's difficult for me to find out what was causing this with pcmanfm.

So this doesn't seem to be a bug in the file manager.

Yes, it doesn't seem so. I had even forgot about it but I'll build the latest in another system just to make sure.

Please reopen the bug if the problem happens again.
