#3 Remember previous directories when navigating

No

When navigating through a directory structure, often you will enter a directory, move back to the parent directory, and then enter a further directory (and so on).

In Nautilus (and Explorer on Windows), when you return to the parent directory, the browser 'remembers' the directory you have just been in and keeps it selected. With PCManFM-Mod, on returning to the parent directory nothing is selected - moving the selection with the arrow keys starts from the first directory.

Please could PCManFM-Mod behave like Nautilus and keep previous directory selected? This would speed up navigating through directories.

Thanks for your help.

I agree this would be helpful - I'll take a look

    Implemented in v1.2.1

Unfortunately testing this immediately threw up a problem...

Navigate into and then out of a directory, then use the arrow keys to move the selection to a different file/folder. Instead of the selection moving relative to previous folder, it snaps to the first file/directory as previously! This breaks the whole change for me.

Doesn't look like I can reopen this ticket, to I will leave this comment for now.

Okay I am seeing this problem with the keyboard in Icon and Compact List view modes (but not Detailed), so I should be able to correct that shortly. Thanks.
