While we've stopped the development on P::Classes 1.0 (maintainers are welcome), we are now working hard on the 2.0 release.
As of December 2004 the developers of P::Classes (http://pclasses.com) and s11n (http://s11n.net) joined forces to bring you the best portable c++ application framework ever!
The 2.0 release will cover all aspects of application programming you would expect from a complete framework, such as multi-threading, networking, unicode, gui programming, databases, and so on.... read more
We are proud to announce the first beta release of our portable c++ application framework. This release adds support for HP-UX style shared library loading, native solaris threads, sql logging plugin, message digest/crypto library and many other features missing before. The transparent net i/o library has been rewritten including plugins for file, http and ftp. To improve portability configure checks have been redone and all system dependant code has been moved into separate source files. See ChangeLog for full details.
It's been a long time since we released the last P::Classes application framework alpha version.
The 0.9.3-alpha release (not released to public but in CVS) has been undergone some heavy testing and is running successfully in a big financial software production environment.
Since then we're preparing the 1.0.0-beta1 release wich adds a crypto library, features missing before and everything has been completely revised.
Configure checks have been redone and all system dependant code has been moved into seperate source files which should significantly improve portability.
P::Classes is a portable C++ Application Framework for a variety of platforms.
We are proud to announce our third alpha release which fixes many important bugs (mostly win32) and portability issues. Some new features and a platforms status document have also been added.
Second public alpha release. See ChangeLog for details.
The P::Classes website is now online.
It can be reached via http://pclasses.sourceforge.net
Current CVS-HEAD does now support HP-UX 11.00.
Tested with gcc 3.2 on hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.00.
It also should compile on HP-UX 11.2 and HP-UX 10.x but we do not have such a system available to test with.
We are proud to announce that the current CVS-HEAD version does now support FreeBSD (tested with FreeBSD-4.7-stable).
Help wanted for further development of P::Classes - the Portable C++ Application Framework.
We need help compiling P::Classes on other platforms than Linux, Win32 or FreeBSD - do you have access eg. to a AIX or HP-UX box?
We also need more developers for becoming the most comprehensive Portable Application Framework ever.
Any help is Welcome !
