if i remember correctly, you did say till the 2.0 release is finished :)

but keep cool ... it's only a zlib wrapper (which was hardly enough to figure 
out how to implement it). 
I will now start implementing the ZLibIOFilter on top of it. The IOFilter 
infrastructure is already in CVS.

So everybody stay tuned for transparent compression/decompression support with 
every I/O device P supports.
