Flag 'granted' traits/feats on output sheet ------------------------------------------- Key: OS-62 URL: http://jira.pcgen.org/browse/OS-62 Project: Output Sheets Issue Type: New Feature Components: PDF - base.xml Affects Versions: 5.16.4 Reporter: Dave Griffin I would like to have some indication on the output character sheet for feats that are granted by abilities, or circumstance - such as the magical Sylan Scimitar that grants the VFEAT of Cleave, and perhaps (more difficult) the 'Rapid Shot' feat is granted to 2nd level Rangers who are have the archery combat style and are wearing light or no armor. Within the UI, these are displayed in purple, to show that they are 'granted', however there is nothing on the OS to indicate this - perhaps just an asterisk after the name? Or more preferably, some update to the desc to indicate it has restrictions... -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.pcgen.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |

[ http://jira.pcgen.org/browse/OS-62?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12112#action_12112 ] Stefan Radermacher commented on OS-62: -------------------------------------- I really don't like the change done to base.xml here, changing the name of the feat is a very bad solution, since this leaves a PDF sheet no way to display the original feat name without the "(Granted)" addition. It is much easier to test for the 'virutal' node in the xml, and add a marker (I use a superscriptes 'B' in my sheet) for this. > Flag 'granted' traits/feats on output sheet > ------------------------------------------- > > Key: OS-62 > URL: http://jira.pcgen.org/browse/OS-62 > Project: Output Sheets > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: PDF - base.xml > Affects Versions: 5.16.4 > Reporter: Dave Griffin > Assignee: Andrew Maitland > Fix For: 5.17.7 > > > I would like to have some indication on the output character sheet for feats that are granted by abilities, or circumstance - such as the magical Sylan Scimitar that grants the VFEAT of Cleave, and perhaps (more difficult) the 'Rapid Shot' feat is granted to 2nd level Rangers who are have the archery combat style and are wearing light or no armor. > Within the UI, these are displayed in purple, to show that they are 'granted', however there is nothing on the OS to indicate this - perhaps just an asterisk after the name? [ http://jira.pcgen.org/browse/OS-62?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12113#action_12113 ] Andrew Maitland commented on OS-62: ----------------------------------- Feel free to change the solution. I just implemented this as per a user request and it seemed to be a valid concern lacking the additional code support. If you are changing it, do have something that will allow any user to know the virtual aspect. Hence instead of having an "*", I opted to just go with (Granted), since no Feat has to worry about (Ex), (Sp) or (Su). Or, add a PRExxx to limit the addition.
