Category: Initiative Module Group: To be Fixed for 5.14 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Joe Frazier, Jr. (jfrazierjr) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Spell casters dont get spells listed sometimes Initial Comment: Specifically, if the character does not get any 0 level spells, they won't get ANY spells listed on the "stat block" on the tabs within the Initiative tab in GMGen. So far, I tested Wizard (works), Ranger (does not work), and custom class with custom spells (level 1 only, does not work). Problem is in PcgCombatant.statBlockLineSpellBook(). It looks like there needs to be a for/while to step through spell levels (and perhaps something added to the class to show mix/max spell levels??) I say this because Stefan is working on a source that has 20 spell levels, so we don't want to limit this arbitrarily. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Joe Frazier, Jr. (jfrazierjr) Date: 2008-03-18 18:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=576176 Originator: YES Specifically, in statBlockLineSpellBook(), it begins by getting level 0 spells and the goes into a while loop (line 973), the problem is that the increment for level is INSIDE the while loop, so it if does not get executed for level 0, no other spells of any level are ever retrieved. Off the top of my head, I am not sure of a non 3.5e/3e specific way to increment this as some systems may have spell levels about the standard 0-9 in 3.x edition. Of course, since the rest of GMGen is tied very tightly to the 3.x stuff anyway, perhaps it does not matter. We will have to play around with each of the characters classes and try to get the levels available for all classes first and then try to get spells. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=627102&aid=1918837&group_id=25576 |
