Category: Preview pane Group: To be fixed For 5.10 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 7 Submitted By: Rob Payne (repayne) Assigned to: James Dempsey (jdempsey) >Summary: Edit in current text field lost when switching characters Initial Comment: Information from edits, new information added to a field, are lost on one sheet when switching to another sheet. This occurs when multiple character sheets are open, and changes are made on one without saving before changing to the other sheet. This occurs within the character sheet notes, and it may occur with other fields. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rob Payne (repayne) Date: 2006-04-03 03:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=212755 As jujutsunerd said, this is within the preview/open sheets. The information is lost and not saved into the .pcg files (not just a display bug). It also appears to be cross-platform, as my original testing was done on Linux with jre-1.5.0_06-fcs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jonas Karlsson (jujutsunerd) Date: 2006-04-03 00:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=172112 I'm not repayne, but I assume he means when several characters are loaded at the same time in pcgen. To reproduce: Create two characters (New1 and New2), edit any JTextField on New2, switch over to New, switch back to New2, see that the text field has returned to old value. Workaround: Make sure you have *left* the textfield before you switch away from New2. This will keep the edit. Tested using jdk 1.5.0_06 on Windows XP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2006-03-22 00:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 I'm assuming this is HTML/PDF sheets you're talking about here? - K ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1443258&group_id=25576 |
