Now in my 60's, I have fond memories of messing about in the 1980's with BASIC on a Spectrum +3 and later on an Amstrad PCW8256. I remember attending a local college evening class course on BASIC which used GW-BASIC which I completed . After that I lost interest in BASIC programming. Fast forward some 30 years and my 11 year old grandson is into retro gaming, so I set up DOSBox on his PC and introduced him to the wonderful world of DOS games.
Having my interest piqued in DOSBox I installed it on my own PC. I then re-discovered GW-BASIC which of course led me to PC-BASIC which I now have installed. Having been so long since using BASIC I thought I would start re-learning from the beginning again. I bought some old books form Amazon/ebay on BASIC.
In the intervening years I have gained some modest web development skills. Enjoying myself so much, I have put together a small website, which is a work in progress, devoted to GW-BASIC/PC-BASIC that I will add to as my knowledge of BASIC grows. The link to the website https://gw-basic.netlify.app
I would like to thank Rob Hagemans and the contributors for keeping BASIC alive into the 21st Century. Well done and much appreciated.

My self I wish for BASIC is to use wav/sound files and jpg/photo files on PCbasicPCbasic
Dave. I am just starting out with BASIC, so I will not be of much help with getting a mouse to work.
As to getting images to work, have you seen this thread https://sourceforge.net/p/pcbasic/discussion/general/thread/d7d5c593f2/ I think, but not entirly sure due to my lack of knowledge, this may be the best you can hope to getting images on PC-BASIC.
