pc basic has run beautifully for months - but despair in the past three days. When I tap the icon, I get 'the black area', Then it flickers - and I get a full size blue screen. Then it flickers again and I get the black area again. And it flickersagain - and I get the blue screen again with a small rectangle with the pc basic symbol in the left side third and an 'x' to close in the right. I've uninstalled and reinstalled - but no fix. As I say this has never happened before - and now, nothing else happens. Can anyone suggest a simple slution in simple language please

No idea what's going on - this is not something I've seen before. Since reinstalling didn't work, could you try removing the configuration file? Type %appdata%\pcbasic\ into the address box in Windows Explorer and move all files that are there to some other place, maybe in your Documents folder. Then see if it starts as normal. I don't know if this will work, since I don't know exactly what is going on, but it's worth a try.
