Not exactly a bug: The installer always creates the symbolic links in /usr/bin/ and /usr/share/man/man1/. But for the local installation /usr/local/bin/ and /usr/local/share/man/man1/ would be the logical choice.

Yes, that probably makes more sense. I'm of a mind to decommission the linux installer script altogether though, in favour of using pip, if/when I get around to setting everything up properly. Tre present script is a bit of a hack, though it seems to work well enough that replacing it isn't a big priority.
