No

When PC EQ is started, on either system start or user logon, using Task Scheduler, in order to avoid dealing with the UAC, an icon is not created on the Taskbar even when minimize on open and on close is checked in preferences. There is no way to open the PC EQ window without first going into Task Manager and ending the PC EQ background process. Opening PC EQ normally via a shortcut works correctly.

Starting PC EQ via the task scheduler works better than using the Launch PC Equalizer on startup option because it provides a way to start PC EQ without having to deal with the User Account Control dialog. I need to run PC EQ all the time to provide a properly equalized line signal to my Bose 901 speaker system. The stereo amplifier does not process a digital signal from the computer through the tape out/tape in connections which is where the Bose equalizer is connected.

I think we can scratch this ticket! I just now figured out that Equalizer APO is the real full time inline equalizer and that PC EQ is just used for configuring EQ APO. Now I know why a response to another ticket was that PC EQ does not need to run all the time!
