Hi, I use a Win 10 laptop. I used PC equalizer free for some time. But recently, when I start it up, the equalizer exits, and shows me a run time error, stating it has encountered an improper argument. How do I fix this?

Mark, you and I are in the same boat. While I have the 2.0.0.5 version (d/L 2.0.0.6 and didn't like the Multi-Delays and reverted back to 0.5) and the free 1.3.3.3 version installed on my PC. The two versions (paid and free) are very similar, however I prefer the paid version as I'm more comfortable with it due to more recent usage. I have the Reg. code recorded at a Google Keep file, so it's a fairly easy copy/paste, however it does become a PITA having to repeatedly populate the paid version after...

I still can activate the new version, but have to do that every day, sometimes have to copy an old RgLicense.dat. I have used the free version for a long time, but bought a 2.0 license and the 2.0.0.6 version works for me and I like it. So yeah, don't want to go back to 1.3.3.3

  • Scott Forge Scott Forge posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

It's a shitshow. Just use the free 1.3.3.3. version I linked above, as there are no reg nags. The only nag is the "new 2.0.0.6. version" nag.

  • Mark Wijnants Mark Wijnants posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Who knows if old activation keys, I bought one in 2021, still are valid, or do I have to buy a new one. I saw that the PC equalizer site is online again, and that there is a new installable version of version 2.0.0.6. Or is registration check still offline, I keep getting the message that Email or reg key is invalid.

Then after copying a folder/file backup to an external drive, I deleted a few of the multiple paid version files I had downloaded, before deleting all of them I was able to execute a paid version (2.0.0.6) from File Explorer directory to open and accept the activation code w/out freezing up. Where can I find a link to download the free version?

  • Scott Forge Scott Forge posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Yes, ironically, the paid version is a total fail now. BUT problem solved: I've gone back to using the free version which has no issues with authentication, and seems to have nearly all the same features as well.

  • Tod G Tod G posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

The using the activation code to authenticate doesn't work for me. Cannot load app now! :-(

Ah, his authentication server is down. This is why apps that require an online connection, are no good. You get this kind of thing happen. sigh

  • Tod G Tod G posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Scott, I also recently am receiving prompts to enter my email and activation key each time I boot up. It's an inconvenience, but I love using PC-EQ so much that I will just treat it as the speed bump that it is. Yes, it's a damn shame that the world is so Eff'd up and I hope that Bilal is okay. Since the site has been down, I'm hoping that I can copy these application files onto a new PC whenever that time comes and they still execute under whatever O/S is in place then.

  • Scott Forge Scott Forge posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

What a sad time we live in, where murder and mayhem are somehow "acceptable" by certain "leaders". Leading us all into hell, and much more for people in Gaza and Ukraine!

  • Scott Forge Scott Forge posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

The memory crash bugs are MADDENING. Recently, even though I paid and registered, I'm getting random "not registered" and have to enter my reg info. The pcequalizer.com site is also down, Don't know the difference between the 2 versions though. Both have "have to register" annoyances now!

  • Tod G Tod G posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

It's been so long since I've used the free version that I can't recall. I believe there is added functionality with the paid version, but whatever those differences are I can't recall.

  • Tod G Tod G modified a comment on discussion General Discussion

As the PC-Equalizer website is no longer online due to Bilal's Gaza circumstances. I want to do a fresh install of the paid version which I would've gone to the aforementioned website. As a work-around, should I install the free version? And then populate the key code to get the upgrade version?

Hello Bilal, I was just learning about your neat little program. I was a little confused on how to get the activation code until I came across this post. I am very sorry that you are struggling in such a desperate situation. Please, don't worry about emails and activation codes. I don't think anyone in their right mind would expect that to be a priority. I don't care if some software works for someone somewhere else in the world or not. Take care of yourself!

I deeply regret not being able to address your inquiries about the program or activation problems. Living in Gaza amidst relentless turmoil and peril has been a harrowing experience. My family and I narrowly evaded grave danger, but the toll has been immense. We've endured the loss of a large number of loved ones, our homes lie in ruins, and displacement has become our grim reality due to the relentless onslaught of war. Despite the fear that grips us, I'm resolutely committed to resolving any issues...
