Some harmless bugs were corrected. The speed of the prime factorization algorithm was improved. Formulas for calculation of sunrise and sunset times were added to program's formula collection.
Some new features are included. User functions can now use also big number calculations and they can be made in the loops, too. For matrix and spreadsheet calculations there is also a new adjustable big window mode, where long lines are more easily visible. The maximum task file length is increased and is now 30000 lines.
The two known bugs in the previous version were corrected and some minor improvements were made. The program is delivered now with an extra task book, where some useful user defined functions are presented. Among other things there are examples and formulas how to calculate a regression line or how to make a least square solutions. The program's spreadsheet properties are also introduced.
Parameter transfer bug of the quote function in the version 4.20 is now corrected and tested. A more serious bug in the store to a cell command is corrected as well. In some cases this bug crashed the whole program. A new version of the program will be delivered soon after the tests are completed.
Pc Calculator is now better than ever.
New properties:
Matrix inversion
Store to and Recall from a cell on a line
Open a new task
Open an external editor
Open task related web pages
Solve a system of linear equations
The speed in the long number mode was greatly improved
This new version is a major enhancement to Pc-Calculator. Every one of it's memory lines may now have a name, which can be used to execute a constant, a function or a whole block of lines. New is also symbolic memory addressing, random number function and some other minor improvements.
The source code of the Pc-Calculator ver. 3.52 is finally released. It may not show any peculiar programming skills but it's high precision square root algorithm may have some common interest.
A new version of PcCalculator is released. Version 3.51 comes with a formula collection showing how three parameter user defined functions are created. As an example a calendar to julian date conversion is given. Julian date is an easy method to count days between two calendar dates. The day of the week is also easily found.
Bug
Contrary what is said in the formula collection, the user defined functions j, d and v are not yet ready. They are coming first in the version 3.52.
New pages, notes to the screenshots, were added to Pc-Calculators home page:
