Yeah, not to get into a distribution flame war, but OpenSuse 10.1
seems a lot more polished than Fedora Core 5.

Anyway, if I understand you correctly, you are saying that glibc (on
my previous FC5 dist) was compiled against a different kernel version
than the one I had installed and was using to compile pbbuttonsd.
Makes sense, as I had recently done a system-wide automated update.
