Hi Matthias, Recently I came across a bug in the Ubuntu bug tracker, which described a crash in the ALSA module. The bug is documented at <https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/pbbuttonsd/+bug/39646>. It is a crash which occurs on some of the newer machines which don't have a hardware mixer.
