strange behavior from pbbuttons 0.7.x

Iupgraded pbbuttonsd on ibook g4 and now it goes to sleep less than minute on battery or power.  Didnt change the config file.  If i downgrade to < 0.7 it works fine again.  What can i do to fix this or debug this?
