Getting Kernel Panics

Hi,
First of all, happy new year!

I'm getting kernel panics using kernel 2.6.14.5 and pbbuttonsd 0.7.3
on my Ibook.
I'm not sure if the cause of my kernel panics is it pbbuttonsd or not,
but i relate them to it because the computer kinda suspends, then i
press any key and it says at the top of the screen:
failed on setting volume.
Then the kernel panic says it will reboot in 180 seconds...

And the other question I have, is how can i see how much battery is
left using pbbuttonsd...
