I decided to replace my Debian install in favor of Gentoo. After getting my system up and running using gentoo-sources kernel 2.6.14-gentoo-rc2 pbbuttonsd was working great, all buttons and backlight control worked great. I decided to upgrade to vanilla kernel 2.6.15-rc5 so I could try out the airport extreme card drivers recently released. They work great, for anyone wondering, but to my real issue now. After upgraded to kernel 2.6.15-rc5, blankscreen still works, but the keys to control the backlight, sound and eject don't work anymore. I used the same .config from my previous kernel, and doubled check to make sure everything was enabled. Anyone have any ideas? Could the keymap have changed so fn+f1 and so forth show a different keycode. I tried out showkey but can't get it to output anything besides a 0xXXX value. Does the XXX corrispond to the normal XXX in the pbbuttons config? Thanks for your help. |
