-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I sent this in yesterday and it was caught by me not being subscribed, so now I have subscribed and I have some additional information. The new info is that I can't get my back light on my lcd to change. It just stays at 0 but my lcd is as full brightness. I know for a fact that this worked even before benh got sleep working on ibook g4s with radeons. I am replying to a post on this list from a few days ago. I too am having the problems with making my iBook G4(800MHz) go to sleep under Ubuntu Breezy with pbbuttonsd 0.7.1. The thing is, the problems only started happening after a fresh reinstall of Ubuntu Breezy. Before this past Saturday I had been running a copy of Ubuntu Breezy that was upgraded from Hoary. On that previous install suspend to ram worked perfectly and out of the box(well not really I had to add a line to my xorg.conf). So I'm very confused about why the "same" system would not work. In theory both systems should be exactly the same, even up to the software level. I made no changes to my hardware, I was just repartitioning to get more space for MacOSX(apparently you can't really run it on 10Gigs and do real stuff with it). Also, I was under the impression that sleep on Radeons had been supported since linux 2.6.8 or there abouts. Going with the kernel in both breezy(2.6.12) and hoary(2.6.10), I still get the same results. I'm slightly confounded by this as I know for a fact suspend was working up until I reinstalled breezy from scratch. If anyone has any ideas I would be very appreciative, but otherwise I'm going to try installing hoary and dist-upgrading to breezy to see if that fixes it. In all honesty I know that shouldn't fix it, but I know for a fact I had suspend on my previous install.
