Hello! I have a powerbook5,6 15" recently bought. Mi message is about keyboard backlight ilumination which does not like to work. I have installed pbbutto= nsd | gtkpbbuttons-gnome | powerprefs. I have the kernel modules to run sensors (i2c-dev and some others). When running powerprefs, in the "bulb tab", the "keyboard" and "Autoadjust" tabs appear in grey (not accesible). How can I do to run keyboard's backlight? I read about the daemon lmud but I don't know how to get and install it. Can anybody help me? I enclose my /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf Regards. # Configuration file for pbbuttonsd >=3D version 0.5 # for options see man pbbuttonsd.conf [SYSTEM] #userallowed =3D "" ; user who is allowed to use IPC autorescan =3D no ; automatic rescan of event devices CmdTimeout =3D 8 ; timeout in seconds for launched scripts, etc. [MODULE PMAC] dev_PMU =3D "/dev/pmu" dev_ADB =3D "/dev/adb" TPModeUpKey =3D 225 + alt TPModeDownKey =3D 224 + alt TPMode =3D notap ; 'notap', 'tap', 'drag' or 'lock' KBDMode =3D fkeysfirst ; 'fkeyslast' or 'fkeysfirst' Batlog =3D none ; 'none', 'cycle' or 'log' NoTapTyping =3D no ; switch trackpad to 'notap-mode' while typing [MODULE POWERSAVE] onAC_Policy =3D performance ; 'nochange', 'powersave', 'custom' or 'performance' onAC_TimerAction =3D none ; 'none', 'suspend-to-ram', 'suspend-to-disk' or 'blankscreen' onAC_CoverAction =3D suspend-to-ram ; see TimerAction for possible values onAC_KeyAction =3D none ; Action (see TimerAction) for the sleepkey onAC_SuspendTime =3D 0 onAC_DimTime =3D 0 onBattery_Policy =3D powersave ; 'nochange', 'powersave', 'custom' or 'performance' onBattery_TimerAction =3D none ; 'none', 'suspend-to-ram', 'suspend-to-disk= ' or 'blankscreen' onBattery_CoverAction =3D suspend-to-ram ; see TimerAction for possible val= ues onBattery_KeyAction =3D none ; Action (see TimerAction) for the sleepkey onBattery_SuspendTime =3D 0 onBattery_DimTime =3D 0 SleepKey =3D 116 SleepKeyDelay =3D 0 ; values > 0 may be dangerous, if the power key is used= to trigger sleep BWL_first =3D 22 ; first battery warnlevel, time in minutes BWL_second =3D 10 ; second battery warnlevel, time in minutes BWL_last =3D 3 ; last battery warnlevel, time in minutes Script_PMCS =3D "/etc/power/pmcs-pbbuttonsd %s %s %s" EmergencyAction =3D sleep ; action, if battery is critically low HeartbeatBeep =3D no ; beep, if nothing else showed that the computer lives CPULoad_sleeplock =3D yes CPULoad_min =3D 20 ; value in percent CPULoad_period =3D 20 ; time in seconds NETLoad_sleeplock =3D yes NETLoad_min =3D 4096 ; traffic in Bytes/s NETLoad_period =3D 20 ; time in seconds NETLoad_device =3D "eth0" [MODULE DISPLAY] LCD_Brightness =3D 15 ; initial LCD brightness level LCD_FadingSpeed =3D 5 ; 0 =3D no smooth fading LCD_AutoAdjust =3D yes ; only on Aluminum PowerBooks LCD_IllumUpKey =3D 60 + ctrl LCD_IllumDownKey =3D 59 + ctrl LCD_Threshold =3D 94 ; ambient light threshold in percent for backlight autoadj.
