I'm using v3.00 and due to a virus problem I had on holiday I want to restore a set of executables from a shared folder where I store all my downloads in sub-folders. Because of the virus I had to remove all the executables and I have since done an incremental backup. If I try to restore from the backup set it now knows that those files have been deleted and will not restore them as a group. What I want to do is simply select the last full backup and restore from that but I can't see a way to do so. In the end I have restored from an earlier backup but that will leave many files missing. Thanks

There are some options -
1. From the backup list go into each file and manually select the version you want. Each file has its date and the backup number (#) when it was backed up.
This may be too tedious
2. If you just want to use the last FULL backup, you can open pbackup but do not open your backup set. Then go to the restore tab, click "backup set" and then instead of opening the backup set, open the actual backup file of the full backup from your backup media (it should end with 01 since it is the first file). This will fill the restore list with the files that were backed up on that particular full or incremental run. You can then restore.
3. Number 2 may not work if your full backup went to more than one file. Another option is to rename the incremental backups with bad files in your backup media. rename them to a different extension (not PB2). Then open pbackup do not open your backup set, go to the restore tab and click "Get History". Follow the prompts, inserting each backup disk until all are done. Then your restore list will include every backup except the ones you renamed. You can then perform a restore of whatever you need.

Thank you. A lot of files and a lot of sub-folders so I used method 3. Possibly something to add to the wishlist? Either by more filtering options or simply select the required date to restore back to?
