PatientOS version 0.80 adds granulinking - a scanned form can have
discrete data bound to areas on the form to allow a clinician to
markup a regular paper form, but behind the scenese the system
captures discrete data for reporting, graphing, mining etc. Regular
plain text clinical notes are available.
All clinical content assigned to 'domains'. For example height, weight
can be assigned to a 'vital signs' domain, or the dates/details of
immunizations assigned to an 'immunizations' domain. One or more
domains can be combined and a new patient chart 'tab' created with
this custom result content.
Prescriptions have been streamlined with few screens in the wizard. A
large number of meds from the FDA's NDC was imported into the demo.
The first round of testing using the Safescript drug database for
UK/European users is underway.
Lab results can be entered using forms auto generated based upon
defined orders. e.g. picking a CBC when entering results allow all the
CBC tests to have results entered against them.
The reference displays have a new tool for easier access to add/update
the reference data. Standalone reports can be easily uploaded and
added to the system.
The interface engine (Mirth) includes a lab results inbound and ADT
Numerous bug fixes to the chart viewing and data entry.
A Dicom viewer is now included
Access the demo by remote desktoping to 18.104.22.168:80 and login as
demo/demo (for the operating system and for the application)
I still have work to do to add inking examples to the demo (which
signals it needs to be faster to create), I think adding drawing tools
directly into the application (as opposed to uploading the overlay
images) will help in this regard.
