#1 automating the process for windows patches

i've read about this tool on patchmonkey.com. it
seems good. i am going to test it in a test
environment first. but i want to know is there any
way to download windows updates automatically from
Microsoft site? because i can deploy only those which
i have in my local directory and for this i need to
download them from Microsoft manually.

if u have a solution then please suggest me.

Hi-

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. You're right, this is
kind of tricky. To get this to work you have to download
the microsoft patch from the technet part of microsoft.com
to your local directory. This can be tedious. I have
started to document a list of the different patches and
their locations at microsoft. I would like to create a
separate program that would download these files for you.
It would certainly make it easier. I'll look at doing this
in the future, but I don't have much time to dedicate to it
right now.
