Password Safe is a password database utility. Users can keep their passwords securely encrypted on their computers. A single Safe Combination unlocks them all.
When combined with DropBox or iCloud, you can keep a copy of your passwords on all your Windows PCs. What is more, a nice port of Password Safe is now available for Android, and a compatible app called pwSafe is available iOS. When combined with DropBox (or iCloud) you can now keep your master password list synced across all your devices. Simples!

Hopefully this is my lucky day 'cause the suggestion listed above tells me that there is help at Password Safe.
My problem is that Password Safe stays open for only a couple minutes or so before it closes and I have to resummon the app and apply login over again. This routinely happens when I am working and for instance I will now need a particular website which is now not as accessible as it was a few minutes ago. What do I have to do to require the thing to stay open for a specified time period. ie 30min. or 1 hour or whatever.

Open PasswordSafe, and in the Manage Menu choose Options... From there click on Security, and there change the "After 5 minutes idle" to something more suited to your needs.

Thank you for your reply especially since your solution is the correct one.
What is weird is that the "After 5 minutes idle" box that I put the wanted
time into was already at 60 min.
All I did was uncheck the box. Now after 4hrs and counting, the database is
still open enough so that I only have to double click on the red password
safe icon located in the 'hidden icons' lower right side. Previously, I had
to re-sign in after only 10 minutes. This was everytime I used the app. And
the hidden icons box was full of green icons. Clicking on these icons
didn't seem to do much.
