#53 Password Safe disappeared

My Password Safe disappeared from my system from
one minute to the next. It contained approximately one
hundred entries. The application was 'open' albeit
minimized and showing on the taskbar when I needed to
reboot. After the reboot, Password Safe was gone, i.e.
no more shortcut on the desktop, and the program file
folder no longer at:
c:\program files\password safe...

Have done a search and found nothing. I have used
Password Safe for more than one year now. Am very
concerned and would be grateful for your help in
recovering if possible. Will make donation. Thank you.

I was able to restore from a backup and am now running OK.
However, am concerned as to how the application & its files
were deleted. My system is WXP Pro with SP2, current with
updates, NAV an Firewall protected.

Glad that you've managed to recover. This is the first I've
heard of such a problem. You might want to check for
spyware using
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
and/or http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

What caused you to reboot? Perhaps your computer has other
issues (bad disk?)

Problem occurred with 2.04. Have since upgraded to 2.11
and recovered Password Safe folders, including database,
from a backup.
